Comprehensive Mold Solutions

Secondary Operations & Finishing

Printing, painting, plating, welding and assembly — the finishing steps that turn a moulded part into a finished product.

A moulded part is rarely a finished product

Almost every programme needs work after the press: a logo printed on a housing, a painted bezel, an ultrasonic weld, a threaded insert, or a kit packed ready for the shelf.

We run these operations in-house or with audited partners next door, so the sequence, the handling and the quality checks stay under one quality system.

  • Pad printing, screen printing and laser marking
  • Spray painting, soft-touch and UV coating
  • Ultrasonic and hot plate welding
  • Insert installation, sub-assembly and retail packing

How a finishing programme runs

01

Drawing and specification review

We confirm which operations are needed, in what sequence, and what the acceptance criteria are.

02

Sample and approval

A finished sample is produced for your sign-off before volume work starts.

03

Fixture and tooling

Printing plates, masks, weld fixtures and assembly jigs are made and validated.

04

Production with in-process checks

Defined checks per batch: adhesion, colour, weld strength, function.

05

Packing and traceability

Batch identification on the packaging, so any quality issue can be traced back to the press and the operator.

Frequently asked questions

Can you match a specific paint colour or texture?

Yes, against a master sample, a Pantone reference or a colour chip. We produce a sample for approval before volume production — colour is never approved from a photograph.

Do secondary operations change the mould?

Sometimes. Weld lines, rib geometry and wall thickness affect ultrasonic welding, so it is worth involving us at design stage rather than after the tool is cut.

Can you supply kits rather than single parts?

Yes. Bagging, kitting and retail packing with barcodes or your own labels are routine.

How do you control quality across several operations?

Each operation has defined acceptance criteria and a check frequency, and the finished part is inspected against the same approved sample throughout the programme.
